Actuarial Science Minor

Actuarial science is where finance and math intersect - and it’s one of the fastest-growing occupations in the job market right now.

Wilkes University’s minor in actuarial science, the only one of its kind in the region, will help prepare you for a career as an actuary - someone who uses mathematics, statistics and financial theory to analyze the costs of risk and uncertainty, particularly in the insurance and finance industries.

Careers

Actuary was ranked the #2 best job by U.S. News. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 22 percent growth over the next decade, surpassing the average for all occupations.
